At the center is a heart-shaped Sonoran dendritic rhyolite, chosen for its moody gray-green base and dramatic branching inclusions. Dark red-brown dendrites spread across the surface like ancient branches or mineral veins, creating a landscape-like pattern that feels raw, organic, and quietly powerful. No two stones ever form the same markings.
The heart is framed in handcrafted sterling silver, fabricated entirely by hand in my Fort Collins, Colorado studio. Oxidation is left in the recessed details to emphasize depth and texture, while the outer edges are polished for contrast and definition. The finished pendant feels grounded and expressive — romantic without being delicate.

Sonoran dendritic rhyolite is a natural volcanic stone found in Sonora, Mexico, valued for its dramatic dendritic inclusions. These branch-like patterns form through mineral growth within the stone, creating organic, landscape-like markings. Each piece displays unique natural patterning, making every stone visually distinct.
Remove before heavy lifting or impact. Store in a dry place when not worn. Clean silver gently with a polishing cloth to maintain the oxidized contrast and finish.

Your handcrafted jewelry will be lovingly packed in a gift box inside a sturdy cardboard shipping box. I include an anti-tarnish strip that can be stored with the jewelry to help prevent tarnish as well as a complimentary polishing cloth to keep your jewels in top shape.

To keep your silver jewelry looking like new, take that extra second to remove it before cleaning, bathing, swimming, or any activity that would cause excess wear and tear. Avoid exposing your jewelry to perfumes, lotions, soaps and other liquids, as well as extreme heat.
If your jewelry becomes dirty, clean with a soft cloth or soft tooth brush and a mild soap if necessary (I use Dawn), or polish with a silver polishing cloth.
Please note that polishing cloths are infused with an abrasive and will remove intentional patina along with the unwanted tarnish, so take
care not to accidentally polish off the patina!
Finally, as a best practice, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place with your complimentary anti-tarnish tab.
