Sonoran Gold turquoise is a vibrant, sought-after variety mined just south of the U.S.–Mexico border in the Sonora region. Unlike many traditional turquoise deposits formed in dry, iron-rich environments, Sonoran Gold develops in pockets with higher copper and zinc content — giving it its signature color palette.
This turquoise is celebrated for its vivid greens, mint blues, and the warm honey–to–gold matrix that flows through the stone like watercolor. Many pieces show “two-tone” or even “three-tone” color transitions, creating a luminous, almost gemmy appearance that collectors adore.
Cutters often leave the stone in a free-form shape to highlight its natural color zoning and depth. Because the material is found in smaller seams rather than large veins, every cabochon has its own personality — from bright seafoam swirls to mossy green patterns.

To keep your silver jewelry looking like new, take that extra second to remove it before cleaning, bathing, swimming, or any activity that would cause excess wear and tear. Avoid exposing your jewelry to perfumes, lotions, soaps and other liquids, as well as extreme heat.
If your jewelry becomes dirty, clean with a soft cloth or soft tooth brush and a mild soap if necessary (I use Dawn), or polish with a silver polishing cloth.
Please note that polishing cloths are infused with an abrasive and will remove intentional patina along with the unwanted tarnish, so take
care not to accidentally polish off the patina!
Finally, as a best practice, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place with your complimentary anti-tarnish tab.
