Teal, cyan, amber gold, and pale celery green ribbon through near-black chert in a diagonal cascade that looks less like geology and more like a desert skyline captured in mineral. Blackjack turquoise is already rare — a stone with this much color variation and movement is the kind collectors recognize immediately.
The oval cab is set in a fine silver bezel with an inner raised gallery, mounted on an oxidized sterling backplate with small granule details flanking the lower right of the setting. A clean, elegant frame that knows when to step back. The piece hangs from an oxidized wheat chain, the warm dark silver picking up the near-black of the matrix and tying everything together. The back is finished with a polished sterling backplate stamped with the maker's mark and .925 hallmark.

Turquoise is a natural, porous gemstone. Avoid lotions, perfumes, and prolonged water exposure. Polish silver gently with a soft cloth as needed. Polishing cloths will remove intentional patina, so take care not to over-polish.
Blackjack turquoise comes from a small Nevada deposit known for dramatic contrast and vivid, naturally formed matrix. Unlike uniform blue turquoise varieties, Blackjack ribbons brilliant blue-green through deep brown to near-black chert, often with iron-gold tones alongside — creating a polychromatic pattern that makes every stone a completely singular painting.
Much of the finest Blackjack on the market today is mined and cut by the Otteson family, who have worked Nevada turquoise claims for generations. To keep your silver jewelry looking like new, take that extra second to remove it before cleaning, bathing, swimming, or any activity that would cause excess wear and tear. Avoid exposing your jewelry to perfumes, lotions, soaps and other liquids, as well as extreme heat.
If your jewelry becomes dirty, clean with a soft cloth or soft tooth brush and a mild soap if necessary (I use Dawn), or polish with a silver polishing cloth.
Please note that polishing cloths are infused with an abrasive and will remove intentional patina along with the unwanted tarnish, so take
care not to accidentally polish off the patina!
Finally, as a best practice, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place with your complimentary anti-tarnish tab.
