Garnets are one of the oldest known gemstones. It was believed that garnets could shield the wearer from harm and warriors would wear garnets into battle as protective talismans. Garnets were also traditionally associated with love, blood, and one's life force - it is a truly romantic stone.*
This sterling silver garnet talisman ring is a throwback to ancient times. Wearing one of these rings is to wear a gemstone that has been treasured for thousands of years. The whimsical scroll design on the band paired with the crown feature around the gemstone gives it an elegant feel harkening to the times of knights and ladies at court. The ring features a deep red rose-cut Mozambique garnet set in sterling silver. The real garnet is an incredibly juicy color and is also perfect if you're looking for january birthstone rings. The ring is oxidized to enhance the details and has a polished finish.

To keep your silver jewelry looking like new, take that extra second to remove it before cleaning, bathing, swimming, or any activity that would cause excess wear and tear. Avoid exposing your jewelry to perfumes, lotions, soaps and other liquids, as well as extreme heat.
If your jewelry becomes dirty, clean with a soft cloth or soft tooth brush and a mild soap if necessary (I use Dawn), or polish with a silver polishing cloth. Please note that polishing cloths are infused with an abrasive and will remove intentional patina along with the unwanted tarnish, so take care not to accidentally polish off the patina!
Finally, as a best practice, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place with your complimentary anti-tarnish tab.
