These sterling silver Gothic initial necklaces feature ornate Old English-style lettering surrounded by delicate vines and leaves. Inspired by antique jewelry and Victorian-era monograms, each round charm has a softly rounded surface with darkened details that bring out the intricate lettering.
Each initial is pressed into sterling silver using an impression die, then individually cut, finished, antiqued, and polished by hand. The contrast between the darkened recesses and polished silver highlights the elaborate lettering and botanical details.

Each initial has its own unique Gothic lettering and decorative details, so the appearance will vary slightly from letter to letter.
Sterling silver naturally develops a patina over time. To maintain the contrast between the polished lettering and antiqued details, gently clean the charm with a soft silver polishing cloth.
Avoid silver dips, ultrasonic cleaners, and abrasive polishing products, which can remove the intentionally darkened finish.
The blackened sterling silver chain also has an intentionally oxidized finish that may gradually lighten with regular wear. Avoid polishing the chain if you wish to preserve its darker appearance.
Store your necklace in a dry place when not being worn.

Your handcrafted jewelry will be lovingly packed in a gift box inside a sturdy cardboard shipping box. I include an anti-tarnish strip that can be stored with the jewelry to help prevent tarnish as well as a complimentary polishing cloth to keep your jewels in top shape.

To keep your silver jewelry looking like new, take that extra second to remove it before cleaning, bathing, swimming, or any activity that would cause excess wear and tear. Avoid exposing your jewelry to perfumes, lotions, soaps and other liquids, as well as extreme heat.
If your jewelry becomes dirty, clean with a soft cloth or soft tooth brush and a mild soap if necessary (I use Dawn), or polish with a silver polishing cloth.
Please note that polishing cloths are infused with an abrasive and will remove intentional patina along with the unwanted tarnish, so take
care not to accidentally polish off the patina!
Finally, as a best practice, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place with your complimentary anti-tarnish tab.
