This size 9 labradorite sterling silver statement ring features a large, cushion-shaped labradorite with brilliant flashes of electric blue, violet, gold, and green. Bands of iridescent color shift across the stone as it moves in the light, revealing the remarkable natural patterns within the labradorite. The labradorite remains a deep black/brown from certain angles until it reveals its magic and has the most brilliant and interesting color banding I've seen in a labradorite.
The gemstone is set in a handmade silver bezel with an antiqued border that gives the stone a bold, dimensional appearance. Beneath it, a wide sterling silver band features an intricate, symmetrical ornamental pattern impressed into the metal using a rolling mill and patterned plate.
The band is antiqued to bring out the recessed details, while the raised silver is polished to highlight the elaborate pattern. At approximately 10 mm wide, the band balances the large gemstone and gives the ring a substantial presence on the hand.

Labradorite should be treated with care to protect its polished surface. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, lotions, perfumes, and harsh chemicals. Remove before swimming, cleaning, or strenuous activities.
Gently clean the silver with a soft polishing cloth, taking care around the gemstone and antiqued details. Avoid silver dips and ultrasonic cleaners.
Labradorite is a variety of feldspar best known for its remarkable optical effect called labradorescence. This phenomenon occurs when light interacts with microscopic layers within the mineral, producing brilliant flashes of color that seem to move beneath the stone's surface.
While blue and green are the most commonly seen colors, some exceptional specimens display a broader spectrum that includes gold, orange, violet, and pink.

To keep your silver jewelry looking like new, take that extra second to remove it before cleaning, bathing, swimming, or any activity that would cause excess wear and tear. Avoid exposing your jewelry to perfumes, lotions, soaps and other liquids, as well as extreme heat.
If your jewelry becomes dirty, clean with a soft cloth or soft tooth brush and a mild soap if necessary (I use Dawn), or polish with a silver polishing cloth.
Please note that polishing cloths are infused with an abrasive and will remove intentional patina along with the unwanted tarnish, so take
care not to accidentally polish off the patina!
Finally, as a best practice, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place with your complimentary anti-tarnish tab.
