This sterling silver owl ring features a Wild Horse magnesite cabochon with soft creams and brown creating a striking feathery pattern perfect for an owl.
The owl is pressed from a reproduction of an antique jewelry impression die, then carefully sawed out and incorporated into the ring’s design. The feather details and facial features are antiqued to bring out the texture, while the surrounding silver is polished to a bright finish.
The Wild Horse is set in a handmade fine silver bezel, with a substantial sterling silver band that measures approximately 4.5 mm wide at the back.

Magnesite is a relatively soft gemstone and should be treated with care. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, lotions, perfumes, and harsh chemicals. Remove before swimming, cleaning, or strenuous activities.
Gently clean the silver with a soft polishing cloth, taking care around the antiqued details. Avoid silver dips and ultrasonic cleaners.

Wild Horse is a distinctive gemstone known for its creamy white coloring and rich brown to reddish-brown matrix. Its natural patterns give each stone a unique appearance, with markings that can resemble landscapes or weathered stone.
Sourced from the American Southwest, Wild Horse is commonly sold as magnesite and is sometimes called Wild Horse turquoise, although it is not actually turquoise. Its earthy coloring makes it especially striking in antiqued sterling silver.

To keep your silver jewelry looking like new, take that extra second to remove it before cleaning, bathing, swimming, or any activity that would cause excess wear and tear. Avoid exposing your jewelry to perfumes, lotions, soaps and other liquids, as well as extreme heat.
If your jewelry becomes dirty, clean with a soft cloth or soft tooth brush and a mild soap if necessary (I use Dawn), or polish with a silver polishing cloth.
Please note that polishing cloths are infused with an abrasive and will remove intentional patina along with the unwanted tarnish, so take
care not to accidentally polish off the patina!
Finally, as a best practice, store your jewelry in a cool, dry place with your complimentary anti-tarnish tab.
